About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Director to build and oversee our payments team as we scale our internal Finance function. You will work with Rho leaders and team members across the organization to maximize our operational efficiencies and identify opportunities to streamline our client experience.
What your day will look like
As the Director of Payments, your day will be comprised of:
- Overseeing the daily reconciliation and settlement operations of Rho’s global payment system including our domestic, foreign exchange, corporate card, and internal systems.
- Managing a working group of finance associates & client services team members, with assistance from the VP of Finance and Controller to manage and resolve discrepancies, disputes, and system related transaction issues on a daily basis.
- Building world-class reconciliation operations to improve our real-time balances inside our platform for clients and partners alike.
- Managing and further developing our integrated systems with NetSuite to account for platform activity;
- Overseeing RECO accounting to ensure our accounts balances and ledgers are consistent, accurate, and complete at all times;
- Work together with Product, Engineering, and Client Services as a stakeholder and advisor to ongoing product development;
- Monitor, identify and correct discrepancies from our internal ledger against our banking partner;
- Liaising and developing strategic relationships with our key banking partners and institutions Rho partners with to facilitate money movement.
What we’re looking for on your CV
- A Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics;
- 5+ Years of experience managing settlement at a credit card program, neobank, or large institution;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Critical thinking abilities and strong time management skills to manage multiple deadlines/projects;
- Ability to work independently and interact with multiple departments with different backgrounds.
- A demonstrable willingness to learn and develop over your career as well as help lift your colleagues and peers to help them master their own skill sets.
Nice to have:
- Experience with NetSuite;
- Experience working in Fintech, or relatable high-volume payments business
- Experience working in a highly secure and technical environment
